For years, Mischa and her father Ewout have been going to their beloved campsite on the Dutch coast every summer. After being absent from the campsite for a few summers, Mischa and Ewout are back. Mischa is a teenager who is processing the recent death of her mother. Strangely enough, this summer, Mischa finds love. As for Ewout, after years of caring for his sick wife, he is single again. He doesn't really know what to do when his friendly neighbor suddenly shows interest. Change sometimes seems like the end of the world, especially when you're a teenager. And Toen Alles Anders Werd explores the continuation of life goes after a difficult period.
This short film was shot in the summer of 2018. I wrote the script, directed and shot the film. The video below shows a scene in which Mischa and her best friend Stijn go on an adventure. They once started this quest, but never finished it.
