My friend Loulou and I made this film as our final project at high school. We quickly decided that we wanted to make a film. It had to be a dark mystery, in which we would not give away the clue. This way, the audience could only find out what was going on by continuing to watch.

We deliberately constructed the story around a ‘Who done it?’ question, we thought that was the best way to mislead viewers. When a story revolves around a mystery, the viewer is constantly looking for answers and every piece of information is useful. Of course, not all information is important, but the viewer can't judge that properly.

The film is a short mystery/drama film set in the nineties. We are both fans of the nineties aesthetic. In addition to ‘the big puzzle’, the film focuses mainly on the youth and the relationships they have with each other. One of the actors is the cameraman.  all. We made this choice to make the footage seem more realistic and natural. The film ends rather abruptly. This was also a conscious decision. We hope that the viewer will continue to philosophize about the perpetrator’s fate. How should the perpetrator live with his mistake? What will become of him now?

We went all out for the presentation of our research and our film. We rented a room in the cinema The Movies for an evening to show our work. To promote our premiere, I designed and had posters printed. The design was inspired by the wanted poster, which I gave a contemporary twist. The evening was a great success.
